Over the past year, we have welcomed three new apprentices to the Pipetech team, all working towards their NVQ Level 2 Welding Qualification at New City College.
Jake Randall joined us 8 months ago and has been working on practicing welding techniques, welding simple pipework, assisting with bolting in pipe, as well as painting pipework and steelwork.
“Jake has improved quickly and is now a useful member of the team, he is always willing to help out and is pleasant to be around, he has the potential to be a good tradesperson, we are very happy with his progress”, the team’s perspective.
Lewis Saunders recently started working with Pipetech a month ago, but is already getting stuck into practicing welding techniques, painting, observing site operatives to learn the best practices, and assisting where he is needed.
“Lewis has only just started with us but is very keen and has shown he has a real interest in learning how to weld and in being part of the team, I think he has a bright future ahead of him in the industry”, Comment from a colleague.
George Bates is based in the fab shop, where he’s steadily building his confidence and practical skills as he works towards his apprenticeship, making the most of every opportunity to learn and support the team.
It’s great to see fresh talent in the business and we are looking forward to what is ahead for them!
