GVX12 - Data Centre - Pump Skids

Quota
£170k+

Located in Sandviken, Sweden, the Microsoft GVX11 Data Centre forms part of Microsoft’s broader commitment to building a carbon-neutral, energy-efficient data centre network. Leveraging the local climate, the facility is designed to utilise free cooling year-round, contributing to its exceptionally low Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and aligning with Microsoft’s sustainability targets.

Pipetech was contracted by Priority Engineering Ltd to design, supply, fabricate, and assemble the Low Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) plantroom skids. Each skid housed critical components including pumps, heat exchangers, and a buffer vessel, all assembled with precision and full quality assurance. Prefabrication took place offsite at Pipetech’s UK facility, allowing for consistent quality, streamlined logistics, and reduced installation time on the remote Swedish site—delivering key infrastructure to support Microsoft’s high-performance, low-carbon objectives.
