Our work with Euston Skills Centre

As part of our continued commitment to supporting local talent, Pipetech has welcomed a new employee through the Euston Skills Centre. The programme opens doors for local residents to build careers in the construction industry. Our partnership with the centre began through MACE, who we’re supporting in delivering their Section 106 commitments.

Euston Skills Centre thrive in focusing on placing local residents into local opportunities within the Construction Industry. Their partnerships with contractors such as Mace and Pipetech have been vital in reaching these goals, meeting social value requirements and benefitting the community. The centre’s partnership with the College of North-West London among other links to referral partners have enabled the process in placing quality candidates into these fantastic apprenticeships.

Luis has been working at Belgrove House, an office and laboratory building for the life sciences sector. Pipetech have been contracted to deliver a package composed of two modular risers and the full public health installation, covering rainwater pipework, foul and surface water drainage, domestic hot and cold water services, and irrigation pipework.

Developing Skills at Pipetech

Under the mentorship of David, Luis is being trained to carry out his work with precision and professionalism, ensuring every task is completed without compromise. With David’s guidance, Luis has gained experience in installing test copper pipe for domestic services and HDPE waste and rain water systems.

Soon to begin his Level 2 Plumbing NVQ, he’s already confident in reading technical drawings and finding practical solutions to on‑site challenges. He’s also keen to start working on heating systems and boosted water systems as his training progresses.

My plumbing experience was quite limited when I first started, but thanks to Peter Dennis I was given the opportunity to work for Pipetech. Since the beginning, John and Adam made me feel welcome and offered support that was well‑suited to my level of training.

Luis Fernanado

Pipetech remains proud to support the development of emerging talent across the industry.
